Senior students of the Department of Industrial and Civil Engineering at Cherkasy State Technological University (CSTU) – both bachelor’s and master’s – recently took part in an educational visit to a modern asphalt concrete plant.

The excursion gave students a hands-on view of the full production cycle – from preparing and dosing raw materials to operating mixing systems, drying drums, and quality control stations. They also learned how modern equipment and strict industry standards ensure the quality and durability of road construction materials.

A special focus was placed on environmental protection and energy efficiency, including the plant’s use of advanced emission purification technologies.

Through direct interaction with engineers and management, students gained valuable insights into the realities of industrial production and the competencies required for successful careers in the road construction sector.
