“A Word Beyond Time”: CSTU Unveils Poster Exhibition Inspired by Lesya Ukrainka and Lina Kostenko in Cherkasy Administrative Center

On March 11, 2026, a poster exhibition titled “A Word Beyond Time: From Lesya Ukrainka to Lina Kostenko” opened at the Administrative Services Center in Cherkasy, showcasing the results of a cultural and artistic project by the Departments of Design and Ukrainian Language and General Linguistics at Cherkasy State Technological University.

Throughout March, the university hosted an artistic marathon marking the 155th anniversary of Lesya Ukrainka and celebrating the birthday of Lina Kostenko—two iconic literary figures whose words continue to shape national identity today.

As part of the initiative, drawing and poster competitions inspired by the poets’ works brought together CSTU students, participants from other Ukrainian universities, and Chinese design students. The contributors presented graphic, painting, and digital works, along with poetic video projects and audio readings—blending voices from across regions into a shared expression of appreciation and remembrance.

A total of 45 entries were submitted to the All-Ukrainian poster competition with international participation. The works came from students representing seven art and educational institutions, including Lesya Ukrainka Volyn National University, Kherson National Technical University, Zhytomyr Ivan Franko State University, as well as institutions in Cherkasy and partners from China.

Following the official opening, the exhibition—featuring 26 printed works, alongside a digital presentation of all конкурс entries—was complemented by an awards ceremony, where winners received first-, second-, and third-degree diplomas.

The event’s atmosphere was further enriched by live performances of poetry by Lesya Ukrainka and Lina Kostenko, delivered by talented students of CSTU.

The exhibition was organized with the support of the Department of Education and Humanitarian Policy of the Cherkasy City Council and the Administrative Services Center of Cherkasy.
